I like my title better, because it's more accurate. It's not necessarily the top OS, just more money was spent on it. Of course Linux would come in pretty far down this list since it's very cheap to buy. The big deal is that Unix has long been on top in this sphere. Link.
Larry Seltzer of ZDNet has a blog entry for this event noting that the idea that Windows is inherently less secure than Unix for big business is going away with the latest and greatest Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1. He contends that if Windows makes inroads as the OS beneath some serious security products that would be the end of the Windows-is-insecure "illusion".
