The most recent system failure on this server may have been either a partition failure or a breakin.
The Geek Pit blog has an article up: Five Minutes to a More Secure SSH. I've read about the tactic of generating keys, but the previous resources I'd found about it were pretty obscure. I'm hoping I can successfully implement this set of instructions without much headache.
