OpenReports is an open source and free project which glues together a number of other open source projects to create a reporting system. I'm thinking this is pretty much an open source Crystal Reports, but in its infancy at version 2.0.

Linux.com recently took the new 2.0 release for a test drive, noting that they have a cross-platform demo ZIP you can download and run test reports from without having to go through the entirety of an install.
