This Sony "fat" PSP 1001 comes with an additional, extended life battery and while used, is in very good condition.  This unit was sent to me by Sony in early 2007 as a replacement for my original PSP 1001 and has worked like a champ, being played every week or two but mostly used for playing video and audio podcasts inside a protective hard case (not included).  Here's what you get:

+ Sony PSP 1001 PlayStation Portable console, US version, Official Sony Firmware 4.01
+ Official Sony original system battery.
+ Official Sony Extended life battery.
+ Official Sony Remote with volume controls.+ Official Sony Headset with microphone, connects to remote.
+ Official Sony AC charger.
+ Nyko thumbstick attachment in place of analog nub (shown, but not installed to allow PSP to fit in box.  Easy to install!)
+ Original Analog nub (installed, Nyko thumbstick is shown in case you want to install it)+ Original box and documentation.

The only thing you'll need to get yourself will be a Memory Stick Pro Duo (check www.dealram.com for that) and you're good to go with this durable and fun gaming system.  Now here's my usual fine print on my auctions:
