Wait, that looks like...
The Spore Creature Creator is out now for PC, and there's a demo version you can get for free. I've downloaded it but while I haven't had the time to take it for a spin yet, others have, letting their creativity and hormones run free. Hormones? Yes, hormones. They're making really lewd creatures that look like they have extremely large, um, equipment, doing highly rated-M things with it.
EA is keeping an eye on these creations, but it reminded me of something I read on Kotaku about LittleBigPlanet. With the ability to sculpt objects and scenery into just about any shape and color, how will Sony keep a vast landscape of naughty parts from overpowering their warm, friendly, innocent, and genuinely fun content? It turns out there will be a reporting feature built into the system so end-users can report objectionable material in levels they download and play. Those reports will be reviewed by SCE moderators and I'm guessing inappropriate content will be downloaded for their own enjoyment on their own PS3's -- oh wait, I mean they will probably end up deleting such content and issuing stern warnings.
For more information, check out these two probably Not Safe For Work articles: the EA monitoring article and the LBP content policing article, both on Kotaku. Image from Garth.ca.
