Except for my Hard Case!
Game drought or no, I still like my PSP, but I'll be the first to admit that I use it more for listening to podcasts than anything else. This week I bought a new, piano-black PSP 2000 unit, also known as the PSP Slim, to replace my older PSP 1001 unit. Absolutely nothing's wrong with the good old boy, and I'm sure some happy modder will want to get their hands on it and do something unspeakable and possibly illegal to it, but I just wanted to move up to the Slim, and I have to say so far I'm really enjoying the size and weight difference.
What I don't like, however, is that while it fits my Logitech PlayGear Street case I have come to rely on for my older one, it rattles around a tiny bit and the headphone jack does NOT line up, having moved about half an inch closer to the center of the body of the PSP. I can add a little bit of padding in the case to stop it from shifting, but I absolutely must solve the headphone jack problem. My power drill battery and charger decided to actually start to melt while recharging after a slow session of partially drilling out the spot in the case so I'm going to need to get a new one of those too. Cha-ching!
And if you're still salivating at the prospect of a PSP 1001 to mess with you can go bid on it here. I'm throwing in an extended life battery and Nyko thumbstick too because you can't use anything but the charger and the headphones (can't use the remote) from the old one with the new one. Enjoy!
