Back in May Napster relaunched as a DRM-free MP3 vendor with over 6 million titles on board.
Now another music download service has caved in to pressure from consumers. This time it's Rhapsody, the service run by ye olde Real Networks. They're offering music in DRM-free MP3 format and also lets consumers preview entire songs in their browser before they buy. Pricing also seems reasonably competitive.
More choices is a good thing in the music marketplace but the 800 lb gorilla is still iTunes and they're still trucking along with their DRM.
