Sony has released the 2.41 firmware as of very early this morning, hopefully closing a short and embarassing chapter in their firmware history.  I've applied the update and it went smoothly even though, for me, 2.40 had worked just fine as well.

This takes me to another point.  As I debated whether or not to buy Rainbow Six Vegas 2 after restarting an annoying scenario for the fifth time last night I decided against it.  Buying a game is now going to be much harder for me to justify if it doesn't have trophy support, and I'm going to be focusing more on Burnout Paradise and Warhawk since those games will be getting some retroactive trophy support in the near future.
