Can You Count to 48?

I really enjoyed Uncharted back when it came out but I didn't end up buying my rental copy from GameFly because while Naughty Dog had promised Home support and hinted at Trophy support, neither had launched yet.  We're still waiting for Home to show up but earlier this month I snapped up a used copy of Uncharted once I heard trophies were on the way.

Today the nice folks at Naughty Dog announced that 47 Trophies will be awarded based on the medals system in the game with a 48th platinum Trophy handed out for earning the other 47.  Not only will it be impossible to nab all 47 in one playthrough -- I'm hoping the medals and Trophies stick between games or otherwise I know I'll have a very hard time getting anywhere near all 47 of them -- but as we've seen mentioned before you'll have to start from scratch to start earning them.

No matter, the game is so good I'm more than happy to play through it again.  No exact date for the patch yet, but "soon" sounds to me like August could be the month the PS3 gets its first disc-based game with Trophy support.
