Best sites to shop at.

Folks frequently ask where I get the best deals on stuff on the internet. The short answer is: buy.com and a few other places. The long answer is that I use these sites to help me make a decision:

www.dealnews.com

and

www.bensbargains.net

DealNews includes subsections for generic ink cartridges for printers, RAM, Macintosh-related stuff, and memory sales. It's very well done, tracking memory and ink prices week to week. Another favorite is the coupon search. When you're about to submit an order somewhere online, open another browser window, go to DealNews, and search for current coupon code numbers to use at checkout time.

BensBargains is another nice-looking site that focuses on tech products.

Nice shirts.

Found a link on Joystiq to this site. Has some clever shirts.

Best sites to shop at.

When I'm working on someone's PC and need to find parts, Microcenter.com always seems to be where I end up. Their shipping is unbelievably fast and cheap with prices that rival Newegg.com

By fast I mean, you order it right now and by tomorrow at this time it's sitting on your doorstep. Borderline teleportation.

been a while

It's been a while since I noticed this thread. I couple more sites to mention:

The above GamePriceZone seems to have fallen by the wayside in terms of accuracy. I rely on the big chain stores' flyers, CheapAssGamer, DealNews, and BensBargains for good pricing.

For computer stuff I shop Newegg.com first. They ship from near my home with most items, but occasionally must ship some of an order from California.

GamePriceZone.

For comparing game prices it looks like gamepricezone is affiliated with DVDPriceSearch.

They have the same format, it seems, featuring a price comparison engine complete with shipping and handling fees being listed alongside the item price itself.

DVD shopping.

When shopping for DVDs online, I use DVDPriceSearch.com to get general pricing, and usually find that buy.com is competitive enough and order from them.

Game shopping.

When shopping for video games online, I will often use mysimon.com and for PS2 games I've gone to AllPS2 to compare prices.

The AllPS2 pricing database is what alerted me to the BestBuy sale on Vice City.
